  1. EXXCEL III NOTES
  2. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  3. Please read these through before running EXXCEL III. By the way, 
  4. the Workbench pallette gets screwed up at the end of the show because 
  5. of the animated pointer.  Do a warm boot to fix that.
  6.  
  7. FOR 1 MEG Users:
  8.  
  9.     Exxxcel 3 is written to run under 1 full meg of ram so
  10.     running it from the boot disk (disk 1) should do it.
  11.  
  12. ****************** EXXXCEL 3 NEEDS 1 FULL MEG TO RUN!!! ********************

  14. FOR 1 MEG Fatter Agnus Users (1 meg of chip ram):
  15.  
  16.     You shouldn't have any problems and consider yourself lucky!
  17.  
  18. FOR PEOPLE WITH 3 OR MORE MEGS OF RAM:
  19.  
  20.     Got 3 or more megs?  Wanna speed up load time DRAMATICALLY??
  21.     Just follow these easy steps:
  22.  
  23.     1. Boot up your WorkBench disk and break the startup
  24.        sequence with CTRL-D.
  25.        (Make sure the disk has the files COPY and  ASSIGN on it!
  26.        HardDrive users have to break with CTRL-D also.)
  27.     
  28.     2. Insert Exxxcel Disk 1 and type the following:
  29.     
  30.         COPY EX1: RAM: ALL
  31.     
  32.     3. After copy is complete insert Disk 2 and type:
  33.     
  34.         COPY EX2: RAM: ALL
  35.     
  36.     4. And if you have more than 3 megs you can get Disk 3 in there
  37.        also with:
  38.     
  39.         COPY EX3: RAM: ALL
  40.  
  41.     5. Now you must assign the disks to ram with the following 3
  42.        commands (or the first 2 if you just copied Disks 1 & 2).
  43.        
  44.         ASSIGN EX1: RAM:
  45.         ASSIGN EX2: RAM:
  46.         ASSIGN EX3: RAM:
  47.     (Make sure none of the Disks you are assigning are in any drives!!)
  48.     
  49.     6. Keep your WorkBench disk in Df0: the show might need it.
  50.        Put any uncopied disks in your drives too (i.e. Disk 3 in Df1:)
  51.     
  52.     7. To run the show do either of the following:
  53.     
  54.     From the same CLI window type: 
  55.         
  56.         RAM:Projector RAM:EXXXCEL3
  57.  
  58.     OR type:
  59.         
  60.         LOADWB 
  61.         ENDCLI 
  62.  
  63.     ...and then double click the RAM Disk icon.  Then Double Click the
  64.     EXXXCEL3.film icon and the show will run.
